Installation

From install to a working wishlist in about five minutes. No code changes required.

1. Install the app

Add Stashlist from the Shopify App Store and approve the subscription. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, and you won't be charged until the trial ends. Pricing matches your Shopify plan, so smaller stores pay less.

After install, Stashlist opens its onboarding wizard in your Shopify admin. The wizard walks you through the same steps described below, so you can follow either.

2. Your wishlist page

Stashlist automatically creates a page at /pages/wishlist when it's installed. This is where customers view and manage their saved items. The page will look empty until you enable the theme embeds in the next step.

If the page couldn't be created automatically (this can happen when a page with another template already uses the handle), create a page named "Wishlist" with the handle wishlist under Online Store → Pages.

3. Enable the theme embeds

  1. Open the theme editor

From the onboarding wizard, click Open Theme Editor, or go to Online Store → Themes → Customize and open the App embeds panel.

  2. Turn on Stashlist Settings

This is the master embed. It controls your icon colour, custom icons, wishlist page vs drawer, guest visibility, multi-variant mode, and more.

  3. Turn on the embeds you want

Wishlist Header adds the heart icon to your header. Wishlist PDP Inject adds the save button to product pages. Wishlist Collection adds hearts to collection grids. Wishlist Cart adds save-for-later to your cart.

  4. Pick your theme in Quick Setup

Each embed has a Quick Setup dropdown. Selecting your theme applies the right placement and styling automatically for popular themes like Dawn, Refresh, Craft, and Horizon. If yours isn't listed, choose Custom and fine-tune placement and styles yourself, or see the embeds guide.

  5. Save

Click Save in the theme editor. The wishlist is now live on your storefront.

4. Add the page to your navigation

Most stores link the wishlist from their main menu or footer: go to Online Store → Navigation, pick a menu, and add a link to /pages/wishlist. The header heart icon also links there (or opens the drawer, depending on your Stashlist Settings).

5. Verify it works

  • Open a product page and click the heart. It should fill in, and a toast should confirm the save.
  • Visit /pages/wishlist. The saved product should appear with add to cart, remove, and share actions.
  • Try it logged out too: guest wishlists are saved in the browser and merge into the customer's account when they log in.
